AACT International 2010

Theatre groups from more than 10 countries will perform shows in their native languages at AACT's 2010 International Festival, hosted by the Venice Theatre, Venice, Florida.

"We're hoping to have theatre troupes from at least four continents," says VT Executive/Artistic Director Murray Chase, "and maybe even five. We feel that Venice is the perfect location to hold the 2010 festival. It's a quieter time of year for us. We’ll be able to get good room rates, the beaches won't be as crowded, and our area could use the summertime business."

Visitors will have time to explore Venice and visit other area attractions. "We want to make sure that they want to come back," says Chase. "They will get a flavor of the entire area while they’re here. This cultural exchange will be one of the most exciting artistic events in VT's history. Obviously, we're thrilled to be selected."
